A couple of days ago I got the hang of "Google plus" the new number one contender for Facebook's position as "King of the Social Networks". It seems so fresh and to be honest with the number of changes made to Facebook over the past few days it is a relief to go somewhere that feels a little less crowded. Anyhow if your not on google+, I would urge you to head over, get involved and join in the discussions that are taking place.
But lets get to business. A couple of nights ago Ron Sheets came up with the brilliant idea of forming a prayer group for men, where we could come together to discuss matters affecting us and then pray for each other. I find this idea beautiful, okay it has been done in other place on the Internet time and time again but isn't it a wonderful example of how the Internet has brought the communion of saints a little closer together? Americans, Brits, Australians, South Africans and a whole plethora of other nations and peoples are now represented in our prayer group and it is wonderful to think that someone on the other side of the world is praying for us. What was once the preserve of the church prayer group has now become truly international, with political boundaries and physical barriers such as distance removed. Arising from the formation of this prayer group Dave Jenkins, Director of "Servants of Grace" Ministries, and myself started thinking out loud about starting a shared blog, where bloggers from across the Reformed Spectrum could come together to discuss the basics of the faith and also Christian matters affecting men.
Dave explains it very well on his blog by saying that:
"The big idea is to have a weekly topic that we discuss, and then have one of the men write up a post on that topic. After the blog post is posted; any and all the men would respond to the post giving their thoughts, and feedback on the topic being discussed. The goal is to probe deeper into God’s Word together as men; holding one another accountable and to pray for one another."
After a few of us discussed this privately we felt it was now time to go public and gauge the opinion of the people who matter...YOU!
Dave is willing to host the new weekly blog/ conversation on Servantsofgrace and we would all love to hear your feedback, suggestions, ideas and anything else you can think of. The goal here isn’t about driving more traffic to one site, etc; it is to grow together as men in Christ, so that men can be strengthened in the Gospel and local churches can be strengthened in the work of the Great Commission. So far there has been a positive response and I look forward to any and all questions, ideas, and feedback and hey if you like the idea and want to get involved get in touch!

Thank you James and Dave for taking this idea of the website and putting it all together.
The idea of getting Christian Brothers together on the Internet is not new, correct, but it is always beneficial for everyone when we do.
It is amazing to see Christian Brothers from all over the world coming together as one in praising and worshipping the One who is worthy to be praised for all eternity!
God bless you!
Thank you RNSheets for your kind words! Things are looking good and I believe that we can really make a huge difference by working together for Christ's Glory!
Your prayer group is leading to great things! :)
God bless you too!
Sounds like a great idea, all the best in the new ministry!
God Bless!
